Prof. Gil Bar-Sela
Specialization: Prof. Bar-Sela is the Deputy Director of the Division of Oncology at Rambam Health Care Campus in Haifa, Israel. He is the Head of the Service for Melanoma and Sarcoma patients. His also specializes in onco-gastric diseases, pancreatic cancer in particular.
Education: In 1995, Prof. Bar-Sela graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Ben-Gurion University in Beer-Sheva, Israel. He then obtained his oncology training at Rambam and received his board certification in Medical and Radiation Oncology in 2003.
Research and Academic Activities: From 2005 to 2006, Prof. Bar-Sela conducted research at the Radiation Oncology Branch of the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland, USA.
Professor Bar-Sela is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Technion’s Ruth & Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine. His main research focus areas are supportive care in oncology, complementary/integrated medicine in oncology, basic and clinical research of the side effects of chemotherapy, and sarcoma and melanoma.
Social Activity: Prof. Bar-Sela has had his work published in various medical journals and books on numerous occasions.
