Dr. Ilana Schlesinger, MD
Dr. Ilana Schlesinger is a Senior Neurologist, specializing in movement disorders and Parkinson's disease. Dr. Schlesinger received her clinical training in Neurology at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem and at Meir Hospital, Sapir Medical Center in Kfar-Saba. Later she specialized in the field of Movement Disorders and Parkinson's Disease at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts
Education: In 1989, Dr. Schlesinger received her MD from the School of Medicine at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. She performed her clinical training in Neurology at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem and Meir Hospital, Sapir Medical Center in Kfar-Saba.
In 2001, she completed a specialization in movement disorders and Parkinson's disease at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worchester, Massachusetts, USA.
Clinical Experience: Dr. Schlesinger is Head of the Movement Disorders Institute at Rambam Health Care Campus. She additionally founded a center for Focused Ultrasound Treatment of Movement Disorders in cooperation with Rambam’s Department of Neurosurgery.
Research and Academic Activities: Dr. Schlesinger’s main research focus areas encompass novel treatments for movement disorders.
